കണ്ടം തിന്നിപ്പാര് /Kandamthinni Paaru തിരുവനന്തപുരം കാപ്പിലിന് വടക്കു പടിഞ്ഞാറായി ആറ് മീറ്റർ മുതൽ ഒൻപത് മീറ്റർ ആഴം വരെയുള്ള കടലിൽ വ്യാപിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്ന പ്രത്യേക ആവാസയിടമാണ് കണ്ടം തിന്നിപ്പാര്. അഞ്ചുതെങ്ങ് മാമ്പള്ളി മുതലായ മേഖലയിലെ തൊഴിലാളികളാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ മീൻപിടിത്തക്കാർ വെട്ടുകൽ പാരായതിനാൽ ഇവിടെ ചിപ്പികൾ അധികമായി വളരാറില്ല എന്നാൽ വ്യത്യസ്ത ജൈവവൈവിധ്യങ്ങളാൽ സംബന്ധമാണ് ഈ പാര്.

Kandam Thinni is a unique reef habitat spread across the ocean, at a depth of 6m - 9m, on the northwestern side of Kappil in Thiruvananthapuram. The fishers of Anchuthengu, Mampally, etc., fish mostly on this reef. Since this is a laterite stone reef, mussels usually don't grow here. Regardless, this reef is also rich in marin biodiversity.
